And no one wore ear protection, what could go wrong 😅
Where's Greta?
Horrible computer voice, I couldn't watch. There are better voices out there now.
I even beg our own usgov to stop all air shows, they’re deadly, fossil fuel issues, waste of lives, hours of work to build weapons to kill each other, …think of the Christmas, 1914, killing fields, no man’s land , the peace cause of the name Jesus Christ for one week.
More useless Russian clownery. Cant write this stuff if I tried.
Good ol' days. Now on A380, fun time 😂😂😂
I can just imagine that helmet, where it was sitting on the canopy, sliding down the nose and getting sucked into the engine. That would be my luck.
Dang, like a cold start of a D8 dozer
Dang this was great footage that I've never seen before. Thanks for posting it!
When I was a kid we lived on top of a hill in California. I was very into aircraft especially fighters because my dad worked on them from 1941-1960. Sonic booms happened all the time and F-100 's would sometimes fly low overhead. I loved every minute of it.
When I was at Cu Chi in 1969-70 F100s, for fun, would get permission from the tower and do a low pass, usually from North to South at high speed. down the runway. Usually around 50-100 feet. Very loud and very amazing. If you were sleeping then you weren't.
My brother was at Cu-Chi in '66-'67.
I visited Cu Chi a few years back, crawled through tunnels and all that. From a historical point, it was very interesting to see, however it was also sobering to think of all the souls lost in the area on both sides, and how it's now become virtually some sought of amusement park, with the booby traps etc displayed with glee. As an older Australian who had friends who served, I found it a bit disrespectful to those who did not make it home.
That old boy must've been from Arizona or Texas...packing that long barreled revolver on that leather belt stuffed full of ammo around back and then a long bowie knife to boot. Charlie better watch TF out if they shoot down the ranger with the big iron on his hip.
wow ; what a blast💨from my past

I don't know if this man is still alive but thank you for your service
It seems like sound was dubbed in here. I hear a huffer cart being started right before the smoke of the cart start, which I didn’t hear, and then the sound of the engine was not a J57. Kind of disappointing.
A really cool looking plane.
the BEST thing about this video, IMHO, is that the subtitles gave a clear and crisp gist of WHAT THE HECK THE VIDEO IS ABOUT in just the first few seconds....i have had to look at quite a few videos which started with "the world is going to end in the next ten days..here's why" and went on a drawn out and rambling narrative...maybe I'm exaggerating, but i would like it far better if more videos just gave us a simple outline of what the entire video was about in the first few minutes...
*Cough, cough, cough*
Cartridge starts were hard on the engines ... B52, F100 ... it didn't matter
How so?
@StevieWonder737 They were not hard on the engines, but we had a duty cycle restrictions on the cart starter turbine assy. On the TF30, we had a more robust starter installed on the left engine, able to handle the high heat and high flow of a cart start. Subsequently, it was slower with hot bleed air starting. The Right engine had a smaller but more efficient turbine starter, more able to use bleed air for starts. The J75 on the Thud was similar to the TF30, and as they were Pratt motors, might have been the same or s similar starters.
@@paulholmes672 "On the TF30, we had a more robust starter installed on the left engine, able to handle the high heat and high flow of a cart start." I consider the starter to be a part of the engine "package"
The Century Series rocked!
Damn, LOVE a good Cart start! Had it and used them on two of the favorite planes I worked on, the F-105G and the F-111's, the last planes to come so equipped, before the F-15 and it's JFS. When they had to use up old stock, we'd pick a day and do cart starts for the day's sorties, usually 8 X 4 mission plans (8 jets, then 4 of those for the night sorties). You couldn't see the flightline for a minute if it was calm due to the exhaust, but they spun the motors so fast, they would be up to idle in seconds. Those were the days!!!
Who manufactured those cartridge starters?
You worked on two of my favorites .. lucky you.
the mishap occured because the russians had to see what was going-on
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy hosted foreign dignitaries aboard USS Enterprise to watch the Navy demonstrate the latest surface-to-air and air-to-air missiles against a drone. After the missiles failed to score a single hit, a dignitary asked if his country could buy the drone.
Good dy!Horsepower~beautiful job-🤓
Good day! Thank you for your rating.
After that long in a turbo prop, the crew would need new fillings in their teeth.
)). What can we say then about the Russian Tu-95 pilots, who didn’t even have a toilet in flight.
@@Horsepower-717 Very true. 😁
Aircraft carriers dont fly.
It’s d day
Was the pilot an 'ace' or an 'ass'? I may have missed the Russian - English pronunciation.
The flight deck of the carrier is about 80 ft. above the surface, the first flyby looked to be more than twice that height ... but 20m is only about 65feet ...
Is the next title going to be "Don't you know I'm loco essay"?🤣
Well, if you provide me with your clip.
@@Horsepower-717 I don't think you get the joke
When President John F. Kennedy toured the ballistic missile submarine USS Thomas A. Edison (SSBN-610) in Norfolk in 1962, a special one-man elevator had to be improvised to lower him into the sub because his chronic back problems prevented him from using the ladders. How do you like this elevator for the President? Write in the comments.

A Fini Flight, or final flight, is a tradition honoring a pilot or aircrew member who is either leaving a unit or retiring. The Fini Flight was first celebrated during the Vietnam War, marking the completion of 100 missions. After landing, the pilot is greeted by his comrades with a fire hose and champagne. Did you know about this tradition of American military pilots? Let us know in the comments! Thank you!

The story would have to be true. At some point if the bomber had been destroyed by the NAVY someone would have talked.
Slava Ukraini!
I was there. One of my Seabees betted me I could t hit it with a .22 pistol I smuggles on board. What the heck I said. I had no idea I’d hit it right in the flap and jam it’s steering. Uh oh…I have to get this off my chest before I die😢
1968 ---- anti-submarine drone caused the accident 😂 ??? USSR fragile egos.
"Quantity has a quality of its own” is attributed to Joseph Stalin. This seems to be the Russian mindset.
The Soviets had a tendency to let their desire for provocation outpace their competency.
